Mission & Overview

The primary mission of the Engineering Division is to protect the public health, safety and general welfare of our citizens through the implementation of standard engineering practices. We provide our customers and citizens dependable, cost-effective, and high quality services to ensure all Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and new, private developments are completed in a cost-effective and timely manner, and to the highest standards in conformance with the City, State and Federal regulations.   

The Engineering Division is part of the City's Technical Review Committee (TRC). The TRC reviews all development plans for major construction and renovation projects submitted to the City. The Engineering Division provides construction inspection of the new developments and Capital Improvement Projects. The Engineering Division also creates, collects, maintains, and distributes high quality, up-to-date and complete geospatial information of the City maintained assets as part of Geographic Information System (GIS) project for the City.
