* Need assistance setting up your account? Use our Citizen Portal Application Instruction Sheet (PDF).

* Need assistance with submitting an Application or setting up a Pre-Application Meeting? Register for an account under New Users (view theApplication Instruction Sheet - ADA (PDF)). Choose the Planning tab, then select Record Type. Complete the application/request. Note: When entering address for Step 1, enter parcel number first, and when found, enter street number (or 0 if no street number) and street name. Once the application/request is received in the system, a Senior Planner will be assigned. The Senior Planner will contact you to set up an available date and time.

List of Permit Types

Accessory Building or Structure

This permit type would be any structure not a part of the main structure. This would include fences, retaining walls, pools, screen enclosures, decks, gazebos, pergolas, arbors, sheds, detached garages, carports, patios, and driveways.

Building Addition

This permit type would be any structure added onto the square footage of the main structure. This would include an attached garage, adding a room, cooler boxes, expansions, and extensions.

Building Renovation

This permit type would be any permitted work being done that is a renovation or alteration not included in the other permit types. This would include exploratory or interior demolitions, multiple trades on one permit (such as renovations involving structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work being done without expanding the footprint of the building).

Demolition

This permit type would be any demolition that reduces the square footage of the structure. This would include partial demolition of the structure, accessory structures, and entire buildings.

Electric

This permit type would be any work that is only electrical. This includes a service change, panel change, replacement of weather heads, and service upgrades.

Mechanical

This permit type would be any work that is only mechanical. This includes hood systems, air conditioning units, and duct work.

New Building

This permit type would be any construction for a brand new building considered a main structure on the property. This would include a new commercial building, new single family attached and detached dwellings, multifamily structures, and industrial buildings.

Plumbing

This permit type would be any work that is only plumbing. This includes piping, adding or altering plumbing fixtures, and connection to utilities.

Reroof

This permit type would be any work that is only related to reroofing. This includes reroofing, roof-overs, sheathing, and underlayment.

Sign

This permit type would be any work that is only related to signs. This includes wall signs, pole signs, vinyl changes or additions, monument signs, and all changes to existing signage that is not considered routine maintenance.

Solar Permit

This would be any work only related to solar. This includes photovoltaic, solar pool heater, and solar water heater.
